Empowering women with confidence, a holistic range of knowledge and techniques throughout their unique pelvic health journey.

Hi, I’m Emily — a licensed and registered Doctor of Occupational Therapy and pelvic floor specialist serving Beaufort, South Carolina.
I am passionate about helping women feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and long-term pelvic health. My goal is to provide compassionate, individualized pelvic floor occupational therapy that helps women return to the daily activities and movement that matter most to them.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2008 and my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University in 2013. I have completed extensive post-graduate education in pelvic floor rehabilitation through organizations including the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, OT Pioneers, Institute for Birth Healing & many others. I am also certified as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES).
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and outpatient therapy. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide whole-person, functional care that addresses both physical and lifestyle needs.
My journey into pelvic floor therapy began through my own postpartum recovery experience. Like many women, I discovered how common pelvic health challenges can be — and how difficult it can be to find specialized, supportive care.
Through personal experience and conversations with women across the country, I recognized a significant gap in women’s healthcare, particularly surrounding pregnancy and postpartum recovery. That realization led me to pursue advanced pelvic floor training and ultimately create Origin Pelvic Health & Occupational Therapy to better serve women in the Beaufort community.
Pelvic floor occupational therapy focuses on how your body functions in real life — not just during exercise or treatment sessions. I combine evidence-based rehabilitation with education, movement training, and lifestyle strategies to support your goals and daily activities.
I believe care should always feel safe, collaborative, and individualized. Every treatment plan is designed to meet you where you are in your pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or pelvic health journey.
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. I love being outdoors and appreciate the Lowcountry lifestyle, including gardening, boating, hiking, hunting, fishing, and reading.
I am honored to support women in Beaufort, SC through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and lifelong pelvic health.

I work with women in Beaufort, SC and the surrounding area who are navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and ongoing pelvic health concerns. Many of the individuals I support are looking for personalized care that goes beyond quick appointments and generic exercise programs.
I commonly work with those who are experiencing:
I also support women who feel unsure whether what they’re experiencing is “normal” and are seeking guidance, education, and reassurance about their pelvic health.
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to understand and care for your body—through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
